About Me

Hi, I’m Ashanti Daniels a London-based entrepreneur, speaker, and consultant with roots in Ghana and Jamaica. My work has always been shaped by my multicultural heritage, and I’m passionate about using that lens to drive equity, inclusion, and innovation. Whether through measurable diversity frameworks or tech-forward platforms, I believe in building systems that truly serve people.

Before stepping into entrepreneurship, I worked in financial regulation, holding compliance roles at Santander, Barclaycard, and the Financial Ombudsman Service. Those years taught me a lot about governance, policy enforcement, and ethical risk management. They also helped shape my data-led, accountability-focused approach to leadership – something I still carry into every project today.

My shift into entrepreneurship started with Benhue, a co-working café space I founded to create community and connection. Events played a big part in that journey, and soon I launched Event Mind, a consultancy focused on inclusive, high-impact virtual and hybrid events. Through EventMind, I’ve helped brands design events that are digitally intelligent, socially aware, and culturally inclusive.

Over time, my mission evolved beyond events. I co-founded Diversity Ally, Black In Events, and 100 White Allies – each addressing urgent gaps in industry inclusion and representation. I also led one of the UK’s first studies on Black millennial and Gen Z women in the workplace, which resulted in a published white paper influencing corporate retention strategies.

In 2021, I launched the Competence Centre for Workplace Equity (CCWE), a certification program for leaders who want to go beyond DEI checklists. Our 12-week course trains people on how to embed equity into business structures through evidence-based competencies and real-world accountability.

Most recently, I’ve been building Vera – a fintech platform powered by AI that helps individuals negotiate debt ethically and regain financial control. With Vera, I’m bringing my regulatory and inclusion experience into financial tech, building tools that restore dignity to people’s financial journeys.

Then in 2025, I began writing more intentionally. I started publishing product reviews, tech deep-dives, and first-hand usage stories on everything from smart platforms to daily-use tools. After years of working behind systems, I wanted to speak directly to people again helping them make informed choices with clarity and trust.

Now, this blog is where I combine my expertise in tech, events, equity, and finance to explore how products actually function in real life. I cover tools that solve problems, platforms that enable growth, and ideas that push us toward a more ethical, efficient future.
